Therapeutic Massage with Nick and Jen
Nicholas Houghton, LMT
Bio
Nicholas is a 1999 graduate of the Newington Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. He dedicated the last twenty one years working for Viso Bello as a clinical massage therapist at their Middlebury location. In 2017 he brought his talent to their Guilford location, where he not only practiced massage, he was promoted to General Manager. Nick is a Bonnie Prudden certified therapist. This modality focuses on alleviating pain by increasing circulation to relax muscle spasms and targeted work to defuse trigger points. Nick also specializes in deep tissue, clinical, prenatal, cupping, and sports massage. He works with a wide variety of clients of all ages and helps them to identify patterns in their daily life that may be contributing to their discomfort. Nick works with clients with specific medical conditions such as sciatica and low back pain, clients with muscle imbalances in the body caused by repetitive stress or compensation, as well as athletes who come to recover and maintain their bodies so they can compete and perform at their best. In August of 2020, he decided to open his own office with Jen from Viso Bello and the Body Mechanics concept was born. Nicholas hopes that you'll find the new office a welcoming retreat and an escape from the stresses of modern life. He is looking forward to helping you feel your best and prioritize your wellness goals.
Jennifer Ganser, LMT
Bio
Jennifer is a 2009 graduate of the Westport Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy, and a Certified Equine/Canine Massage Therapist. Her passion for posture based corrective massage therapy prompted her to enroll in the program taught by Neurosomatic Educators in Clearwater, FL and specialize in neurosomatic therapy (NST) After completing the program she began practicing NST and clinical massage at Carlson Physical Therapy until 2021 when she opened a second office in her hometown of Bethel, CT. Jennifer currently works with a wide variety of clients in her offices including joint replacements, post-operative spinal patients, and clients with medical conditions such as plantar fasciitis, migraines, TMJ, and sciatica. In 2016 she became certified to cast Sole Supports Orthotics, which has been instrumental in improving her clients' conditions and helping them to maintain their results. In 2018 she certified in cupping and brought her clinical experience to Viso Bello in Guilford, CT where she practiced for two years. In August 2020, she decided to open her own office with Nick from Viso Bello and the Body Mechanics concept was born. Jennifer hopes that you'll find the new space inviting and tranquil. She is looking forward to helping you achieve your health and wellness goals.
